“… immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.” — Acts 16:10
I‘m always thrilled when I read of the bold missions outreaches made by the apostle Paul, such as the one above recorded in the book of Acts. The faith and courage of this man of God and his single-hearted focus to win the lost and establish churches throughout his world remain an ideal model. One which we can follow as each of us seeks to impact the world for God‘s kingdom in our own realm of influence. That is what motivated us over the past twenty years, as Barbara and I traveled the nations of the world with the Gospel message.
And of course, that is what took me to Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany — and Macedonia — late last year. This awesome outreach was apostolic, prophetic, and incredibly fruitful. We preached and taught the Word of God, saw many saved, delivered, healed, and encouraged, and were greatly encouraged ourselves as we witnessed the hunger in the hearts of people throughout Europe to have a deeper relationship with God.
That is why we are so excited about the work in Ohrid, Macedonia.
Just as the apostle Paul traveled to Macedonia to preach the Gospel, we are called to the modern nation of Macedonia to nurture God‘s people there, and to help establish the Evangelical Church Of Macedonia in the city of Ohrid.
My trip in December 2015 was all about imparting, building, strengthening, restoring, loving, encouraging, and increasing faith, expectation, hope, and revelation. Let me tell you, there were miracles in the atmosphere as we reached out for a touch from God! And what’s more, the expectation and faith among this community of God‘s people is growing dramatically.
Read the testimony from our friends, Pastor Angel and Daniela Pavlovi, from Oasis Church in Macedonia:
“Dr. Plilar’s visit meant so much to us! I believe God arranged it. We had never met, but we knew each other through friends in Bulgaria. It was a divine setup! His visit was proof that when you’re working for the Lord and you are faithful in the little things, He will connect you with the right people. Dr. Plilar heard and obeyed His voice in the right timing and regarding what was most important, which stimulated us to continue to walk more faithfully.
Because of Pastor Plilar’s visit, our church was encouraged to believe God more and to be intentional about aligning the words we speak with the Word of God. We were inspired to be more dedicated to evangelism, practically helping people like refugees, and praying more boldly. There was healing in the air! Jesus healed headaches, internal stomach pains, and heart problems as a result of
Dr. Plilar was an example for us while leading house groups, praying and preaching at the church, and hosting evangelistic dinners. Whether preaching the Gospel to the lost and praying for them, or helping us reach refugees with tracts and life necessitates (soap, toothpaste, socks, etc.), Pastor Plilar was such an example to never give up!
While Dr. Plilar was preaching, an elderly couple was saved for the first time! We see them regularly in our meetings now. They like the church and all we do. Regarding God, the Bible, Jesus, the cross, church fellowship, etc., they often say: “Why didn’t someone tell us before?”
Christians are always encouraged when they hear people like Pastor Plilar speak — so anointed and completely devoted to God and His work! As a pastor, I would love to have someone like him come each month in the power of God to bless and encourage my church family here in Macedonia. May God bless you all.”
Dear friends and partners, I don‘t know about you, but testimonies like that are a real blessing and motivation to me. What they tell me is that God is using our partnership in kingdom outreach to impact individuals and families for eternity. Yes, that elderly couple Pastor Angel wrote about — and so many more — are members of God‘s family and growing in Christ everyday because of your prayers and your continued support.
